If you ever wanted to listen to the perfect sound track to the perfect horror movie, Black Clouds “Everything Is Not Going To Be Ok” is that album. This album is heavy, and not instrumentally, although it can be at times, but emotionally this album carries weight with it. Black Clouds can be defined I guess as a instrumental ambient band, think Pelican. I listened straight through this disc and it was like going through a journey, a bad one. The ending track is probably my favorite: “Santorum Sunday School” because you listen to this mad man rant, and at the end this Fallout 3 like radio message playing over and over and over. This grim album is perfect in my book; there are times when your attention is fully on the music, and other times it lets you drift a little only to bring you right back hard. I want to see a horror short to this movie driving home the fact that the message at the end of this album means exactly what it says because you know it in your soul when you hear it; that the message, as honest as the air we need to breath, the message that everything….is not… going to be ok.
