Honey Pig

Honey Pig

Bosley
Genre: Funk Pop Rock Soul
Label:
Released: 2011

Yeah, it’s not their latest one but screw you, I love this album. I think I first heard Bosley on a Baltimore radio station’s morning show, and then on loved them. This group throws back to the doo wop swing tunes of yesteryear and do it wonderfully. This disc “Honey Pig” is their first release, with “The Dirty Dog Radio Show” their latest, but the secret is, I love “Honey Pig” more so I’ll talk about it first.

This disc starts out with a constant vamping song called Jungle, then hits you in the right spot as soon as the guitar riff begins in Sharpshooter. One thing I love about this album, is the attitude: confident, they know they play well and perform well. This disc was tracked and mastered well, and whoever did it knew how this music should sound. My favorite track is “Neon Magazine” It’s got a seedy, red light district keep your pockets tight feel to it; listen, you’ll get it. In fact, listen to the disc, you’ll get every word I was about to speak. I love this disc.
