Recorded at the legendary Lounge Studios in Indianapolis, this album sounds wonderful. The musicianship on this record is great, the singing on key and generally creative things are happening. The vibe of the beginning and end was wonderful, but the middle leaves it lacking. The redeeming quality of this E.P. is getting past the middle and “Interlude” to the last two songs where they pick it back up with some great music.
All in all it’s a great sounding album, with some great tunes. I’m not sure about the journey it takes you on, but that is the journey it provides. Down below are the ratings and links. Give it a listen!
Fans of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros or The Black Keys will find Hot Jam a great listen.
