Stars and the Sea

Genre: Post-Punk Rock
Label:
Released:

So this is another review that isn’t really about an album, but more so about the bands singles. I found the Stars and the Sea just searching through the interwebs, and man, so good. Their first single I heard was “To the Dance” and it hit me with this Joy Division like feel. Dark moaning guitars, driving bass, staccato vocals deep and solemn. This is such a wonderful track, worthy of repeat. “Oblivion” was the next track I listened to; not quite the opposite but much more punch in the opening memorable riff. This is an edgy, desert rock feeling track. The rad thing about Stars and the Sea is they are always adding little changes in their music, like an extra kick here, a slightly different guitar riff there. Another thing is all their tracks sound remarkably wonderful and well tracked. ┬áReally all their singles are wonderful, I hope I can get them on the show. I really, really dig this band. Check them out! (Hint hint, they are playing soon)
